About Kaburwo
Kaburwo Festival is a nationally and internationally recognized cultural celebration set on 26th-28th November 2025 at Sosiani High School in Eldoret City. It seeks to promote and preserve Nandi heritage, showcase diverse cultural practices and foster unity.
Founded by Kenas Kiprotich Kirui, Kaburwo was born out of a search for identity and the desire to Unite the Nandi nation after colonial dispersion.
It brings together the Nandi nation living in Nandi, Uasin Gishu, Trans-Nzoia, Laikipia, Narok, Nakuru, Uganda, Tanzania and the Diaspora community.
